Caythorpe Dash – 10K & 5K

2nd Race: 5K at 1015
We are really hoping that some sense of ‘normality’ will return to life with the Covid vaccination, so we are planning on our October race to be a ‘mass start’ ! Our ‘fallback plan’ will be wave starts if absolutely necessary.
The Caythorpe Dash 10K commencing 1000 – is a signed / part-marshaled, multi-terrain run through the picturesque Lincolnshire countryside, which takes in tracks, bridle paths, footpaths, minor roads along the Lincolnshire Ridge; with climbs / descents of 103m in all (see maps below).
Age limit: 16 upwards.

The Caythorpe Dash 5K @ 1015 – is a signed / part-marshaled, multi-terrain run on roads, tracks / footpaths and a disused railway line around Caythorpe; the total ascent is 30m (see map below).
Age limit: 12 upwards; 12 to 15s must have parent running in this race.

There is free parking and free light refreshments from our café after the race. There are full changing and showering facilities, with secure ‘bag drop’ facilities. Your personal Race time will be automatically emailed to you as you cross the finish line – full live and final Race results will be provided on our Race|Result website, as well as in the pavilion. There are 2 public houses in the village, the Red Lion and the Wagon & Horses who both sponsor the event – they will be pleased to see you and can provide a meal after the race.
CaniCross , running with your dog (s), is most acceptable; if doing so please inform us in the Race|Result registration.
All 10K competitors will receive a medal and a goody bag with a Tech T-shirt; 5K competitors will receive a medal – Race certificates are available for all to download through our Race|Result results website. Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 female and male finishers in both races as well as the top three Teams in the 10K; additionally, the top three in the 12 to 15 year age group in the 5K, either female or male, will also get a trophy.
The run is in aid of the Caythorpe Playing Fields – all monies will be given to support the Playing Fields and the many sporting / community events held there.
