April 25 @ 9:30 am - 1:30 pm

Sunday  25 Apr  2021
2 Socially Distanced Timed Races

First Race:  Half Marathon @ 0930
2nd Race:  5K at 1156

With Covid restrictions still on, this event will once again be a held  as timed run race, using our chipped Race|Result 12 equipment, with ‘wave’ start times at 6 min intervals – the initial Half Marathon runners setting off at 0930.  The total half marathon field is limited to 140 competitors – so it will take 2 hours and 20 minutes to start all half marathon competitors.

Should government / local restrictions stop us from holding the Dash in April– we will refund your entrance fees, but minus any expenses we’ve incurred:  PayPal deductions (for both payment-in and returns), costs of medals, trophies & T-shirts (these items will only be bought at the last possible moment).

The Caythorpe Dash – Half Marathon (single or Team) is a part-marshaled / part-signed, multi-terrain run through the picturesque Lincolnshire countryside which takes in tracks, bridle paths, footpaths and minor roads in the rural Trent valley.  After leaving Caythorpe you descend 200 ft into the Trent valley on an old drovers trail; the next 9 miles are on fairly flat terrain (3.5 miles on minor roads, the rest on tracks & footpaths), before climbing 140 ft back onto the Lincolnshire ridge and ridge running 2.5 miles back to Caythorpe (2 miles on minor roads); the total ascent is 422 ft. Teams of 4 competitors, consisting of 2 women and 2 men.
Age limit: 16 upwards.
Online Entry Only: £20

The Caythorpe Dash – 5K  is a fully-marshaled, multi-terrain run up and down the Lincolnshire ridge with great views of the Trent valley.  After leaving Caythorpe you descend 56m in 1K into the Trent valley, then run 2K on a farm track onto Wheatgrass Lane, an old drovers trail, climbing 50m back up to Caythorpe; the total ascent is 61m.
Age limit: 12 upwards; 12 to 15s must have parent running in this race.  Online Entry Only: 16+ £7 ;  12 to 15s £4

Competitors will be given their individual wave start times via email closer to the event – to minimise the number of competitors on the start field check-in will be 30 minutes before the wave start time at 2 outside ‘registration windows’ at the Hammond pavilion.

There is free parking and free light refreshments (from our cafe external window) after the race.  There are no changing facilities (covid rules), we will provide toilet facilities and a secure ‘car key drop’.  Your personal Race time will be sent automatically to your email address – full live and final Race results will be only provided on the Race|Result website.

Running with your dog (s) is most acceptable; if doing so please inform us in the Race|Result registration.

All half marathon competitors will receive a medal and a goody bag with a Tech T-shirt; 5K competitors will receive a medal with a certificate available to download.  Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 female and male finishers in both races as well as the top three Teams in the half marathon; additionally, the top three in the 12 to 15 year age group in the 5K, either female or male, will also get a trophy.  The trophies will be posted to the winners; goody bags will be laid out on a table for personal collection.

The run is in aid of the Caythorpe Playing Fields – all monies will be given to support the Playing Fields and the many sporting / community events held there.

Online entry available until midnight 20 Apr 2021
